| Introduction | I recently retired from 32 years of teaching special education at Hart Public Schools. I have taught all grade levels from kindergarten through high school, and even taught a few night courses in psychology and child development for West Shore Community College. I love kids and I love teaching. My husband and I own Major Produce, a retail greenhouse located south of Scottville. In the fall, we are 'The Pumpkin Patch'. We have one son, Christopher, who is now married to Alison, and lives in Holland. He is a landscape designer and Alison is a graphic designer and a Discovery Toys Educational Consultant. We love spending time with them. Michael's 85 year old mother, Joyce, had a stroke 6 years ago and now lives with us. We have a cat named Shadow. She is the one who is actually in charge of the house. When she wants in or out, she gets action! She has been known to wake me up in the middle of the night by taking the phone receiver on and off the base. She won't stop until she gets her way! |
