Introduction Hi, I’m Yvona. North Country Culinary Adventures is my literary food blog—about food, life and about everything else. Foodwise, I eat from our backyard garden year-round, and have been writing North Country Kitchen for the Adirondack Daily Enterprise every week for six years. I have written over 300 columns on everything from asparagus to zucchini. The column offers a medley of nutritional information, historical facts, and easy, seasonal recipes that help readers prepare wholesome family meals and achieve a healthy lifestyle. My food-related articles have appeared in numerous magazines and newspapers from Massachusetts to California and New Zealand. I live in northern New York, where I can be found most often in my kitchen, helping in our family garden, or shopping at one of the many farmers' markets in the northern Adirondacks. I also love walking in the woods with my dogs, taking nature photos, writing poetry, swimming and paddling in summer, snowshoeing and cross country skiing in winter. I love to read, especially historical fiction and memoirs.
