| Introduction | Mi trabajo de creación gira entorno a diversos temas fundamentales, casi siempre desde un punto de vista muy personal, rayando lo autobiográfico, tales como la estrecha distancia entre la vigilia y la realidad. Mi propio cuerpo como mujer puertorriqueña, auto-exiliada, deseando el balance de sol y de luna. Exploraciónes sobre conceptos como búsqueda del estar y no estar, la vida y la muerte como grandes aliadas, son evidentes. Cada proyecto desde enfoques diversos sea éste histórico, mitológico, fantástico o sociopolítico. Plasmar el cuerpo, su significado y su conexión personal haciendose patentes. Anabel 2008 My creative work revolves around several key themes, a personal almost autobiographical view point, the close distance between daydreaming and reality. Within that distance is my female blood body, a Puerto Rican woman, self-exiled full of the sun and the moon. Exploring concepts of being and not being, life and death as major allies, are evident. Projects are approached from a historical, mythological and/or sociopolitical view. Personal connections through the physicality of the body and it's broader connections becoming palpable.
