Favorite music	i like it all. pick an artist. chances are i can find a song i like. a few exceptions to this: michael bolton; shania twain; yanni; uncle kracker; music where they scream instead of sing (only exception to this: "the kill" by 30 seconds to mars) and remakes by rod stewart--he writes plenty of his own stuff--he should sing that instead. you don't redo songs by van morrison or credence clearwater. you just don't.
Favorite books	quiet, she's come undone, the lovely bones, the perks of being a wallflower, middlesex, (i read it before oprah put her stupid stamp on it)
