| Introduction | I have been painting professionally since 1980. Working predominantly by commission as a conceptual-environmental artist, I design and execute site-specific murals for private and commercial clients throughout the western United States. I am essentially a self-taught painter. Through my studio, Art and Soul Productions, I have had the good fortune to collaborate with many of the most talented decorative and fine-art painters in the field. My projects include large-scale themed and environmental artworks. Recently I have begun working with mosaics. Prior to my career as an artist, I worked as a health professional. My work as a respiratory therapist, hyperbaric and burn therapist, and CPR instructor for the American Red Cross was highly rewarding, but my desire to create positive environments led me to explore mural painting. I am currently building a new studio in Pasadena, California, where I live with my beloved wife, Susan. |
