| Introduction | My name says it all. I'm old, foolish, and a long ago retired RN. I graduated from an old school 3 year diploma nursing program in Chicago and was a lifelong bedside nurse; no office sitting for me! We were trained-not educated by cranky old instructors who left me with a twisted sense of humor and a host of unhealthy coping mechanisms I worked as a scrub nurse when ORs were tiled temples and big open surgeries the norm. I also worked in a neuro ICU and a very brief stint on a forensic psych unit. Hopefully, bright young whippersnapperns will enjoy some of my memories and experiences.
