Introduction | I am a married mother of four children, ages 10, 13, 15 and 17. I have been married for 18 years to Michael. I teach Spanish at a small, private college. |
Interests | Writing, Singing, playing piano, genealogy, baking, reading, hablo español a veces |
Favorite Movies | Pride and Prejudice - the A & E version, Pay It Forward, The Music Man (w/ Matthew Broderick), The Other Side of Heaven, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Spanglish - okay not all of it because there are a few rather odd scenes but also some really great ones that make up for it, Mr. Holland's Opus, Sense and Sensibility, Hitch, Little Black Book, The Emperor's New Groove (really), Flushed Away - especially the music; gotta love good music set to animation!, Cheaper by the Dozen and many many more |
Favorite Music | RBD, Shaila Durcal, Marc Anthony, Indigo Girls, Cherie Call, Newsboys, Anna Nalick, Quincy Coleman, Tori Amos, Dar Williams, showtunes of any sort, Amy Grant |
Favorite Books | The Hamish Macbeth series by M.C. Beaton, The Puzzle Lady series by Parnell Hall, Anything by Anne Perry, Anything by John Grisham, The Artemis Fowl series by Eion Colfer, The Work and the Glory Series and the Kingdom and the Crown Series by Gerald Lund, anything that is well written. I have no patience with authors who have great plots and no talent for storytelling. . . or whose editors were sleeping on the job. I can't enjoy a good book if I am preoccupied with editing said book. |
