Introduction I have a love for the Asian culture, but it was not until the fall of 2005 when I took my first Chinese Brush Art class at an Art Expo being held Nan Rae. My goal was to learn how to paint the horse. Little did I know then how involved I would become as time passed. Nan offered classes twice a month at her studio in Burbank but another year had gone by and no art class on the horse. In 2006 I attended another Chinese Brush Art Class given again by Nan at the Burbank Hilton Art Expo hoping the subject would be on the horse but it wasn't. By Summer 2007 I received an email from Nan advising me her next class subject would be on the "Horse" I was beyond thrilled. I waited two years for this class and from then on I have been taking classes with Nan every month. Yes I was very patient and very determined. About 3 years ago Nan introduced me to Tom one of the best calligraphy teachers around. I have been taking classes from Tom ever since. The icing on the cake for me was when I traveled to China March 2009. I loved every minute of every day that I spent traveling all over China. I hope to go back again one day.
