| Introduction | We are in the enviable position of being able to take a couple of months off and go on an adventure. We are both in our fifties and keen to stay fit. We have sadly lost friends and family to cancer when they were far too young (Mary Ann's mother was only 59 when she died) and so supporting Cancer Research UK is an obvious choice . We have both had massive support from our husbands Bruce and Rob. They have bought us great bikes, smiled sagely when we announced we were going to buy a caravan for the trip and not looked too closely at bank statements over the last 6 months or so. Both of them will be coming out to pull the caravan at various times. Thankyou guys!!! The route was chosen because Bruce is working in Taranto, Southern Italy which is the penultimate stop of the Eurovelo 5 cycle route one of 12 designated cycle routes in Europe. |
