Introduction Movement, line, subtle gradation of tone... Jen's photographic inclinations are often traditional but she's intrigued by contemporary work and the directions photographers discover, create and follow. She gravitates toward softness and curves, but appreciates tight, crisp work and enjoys irony and visual narratives. Jen's training began in BxW film—a great initiation. She's still partial toward grey tones. A MN native, Jen began searching for arts opportunities in the Twin Cities after graduating with a photo BFA from UWRF (2007). She has held roles in various arts organizations, including the Walker Art Center, Altered Esthetics, Weisman Art Museum, Minneapolis Institute of Arts, and Forecast Public Art. Currently, she is a production assistant for Public Art Review, and 2014-2016 Exhibition & Gallery Director at Altered Esthetics. Jen has worked at National Camera for seven years and is fascinated by photographic theory. Focusing on image rights, she earned an MLS with an emphasis in arts management and museum studies at the U of MN (2013). © Jen Dolen 2010-2014
