| Introduction | I am a jewellery student currently completing my final year B-tech at Durban University of Technology. My work has to do with the Beauty of the ocean. My inspiration derives from the textures, colours and shapes of organic matter that I collect from the beach. I use these references to create jewellery with an oceanic feel. The use a variety of techniques to transform my finds into metal such as casting, enameling, ceramics. I feel we take so much from the sea, use and abuse it. My way of giving back is by replicating these organic finds for all to see and hopefully appreciate. |
