| Introduction | Went to Vietnam with the US Army in 1966, returned in late 1968 and became a cop. Eighteen years later I was Chief of a small town and bored so I went back on active duty with the Army. I was injured in a training accident in 1997 and medically retired in 1999. I started working for the US Department of Veterans Affairs at the Chicago Regional Office where I made a lot of friends and pissed off a lot of managers. I got fed up in 2007, quit and went for a ride on my motorcycle. Now I do my traveling in a Jeep Wrangler. |
