| Introduction | This company’s mandate is to choose material that encourages questioning and the examination of the commonplace, familiar, or comfortable narratives in our lives; to confront how easily the “norm” can be flipped to it’s opposite. And to explore the new, creative energies that are released through these reversals. Using familiar narratives, such as Little Red Riding Hood, our audiences will be given a false sense of security. Everyone knows how these stories will end, or at least they think they do. Through the use of wit, unusual language, and music our goal is to shake up the audience’s preconceived perceptions thereby erasing the notion of “the norm” and creating an awareness of the need to live each moment with fresh eyes. |
