Introduction The Black On White TV blog examines issues of race and diversity in British TV and across the media. It is interested in issues of representation and equality both in front of the camera and behind it. The blog was set up by Marcus Ryder who was a founding member of the Sir Lenny Henry Centre for Media Diversity and has over 25 years experience working in television, radio and online. He left the BBC after 24 years as the Editor of BBC Scotland Current Affairs. He is currently Head of External Consultancies at the Sir Lenny Henry Centre of Media Diversity. He is also a Visiting Professor at Birmingham City University for Media Diversity and an Honorary Senior Lecturer in Journalism at The University of Sussex.
