J.-P. Plouffe
| Introduction | Jean-Pierre Plouffe studied at the School of Art and Design, affiliated with the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. He did a stint as a bosun in the Canadian Navy, was a student journalist (editor-in-chief of the Saint-Mary’s Journal, in Halifax, Nova Scotia), performed in theatre at McGill University, and studied at the London International Film School (now the London Film School), in England. He was second assistant camera for My Bloody Valentine and made three documentaries. He spent the next thirty years practicing clinical social work while remaining active in the visual arts. He holds a Master's degree in Social Work and completed a three-year program in Gestalt Therapy and Object Relations. After a successful career in social service, he now devotes his time to painting, sculpture and poetry. He lives near Montreal. www.artplouffe.com |
