| Introduction | I am a mixed woman, racially and ethnically. Born in Trinidad to a black Mother and Father who was also, of mixed Spanish and Indian races. I immigrated to the United States as an adult and I am now Trini-American. I am sharing my journey of becoming American, yet holding on to my own Trinidad and Caribbean roots. Having a life with influences from two cultures, gives me a unique perspective, one that makes me and hopefully you, chuckle. Its all a matter of perspective. |
