| Introduction | Born in 1982 in Austria, I have been writing for the better part of 12 years now. I write short stories and novels, in English as well as German. My stories are distinctly fantastic in nature - many of them were written for children and people who have managed to keep their imagination intact. My influences are first and foremost my friends - artists and illustrators who I am lucky enough to have worked with - as well as the films by Hayao Miyazaki, David Lynch and Terry Gilliam, not to mention books by Gene Wolfe, Vladimir Nabokov, Roberto Calasso, Jorge Luis Borges, Robert Graves and many others. This blog is meant to be a showcase for my stories and to air my thoughts on literature, reading and writing whenever they get a little dusty. |
| Interests | As a photographer, I like colour compositions as well as images that tell a story. Portrait photography is particularly attractive for me, but I also like architectural shots and would like to extend my repertoire and learn to shoot reportages and good travel photography. I also do all sorts of commercial photography, but have no true specialization. I admire photographs by Henri Cartier-Bresson, Jan Koubelka, Olivier Föllmi, Alfred Stieglitz and many others. |
