About me

IntroductionMaster's degree at Columbia University, New York 1999. Internship in London, Donald Insall & associates, in the renovation of Windsor Castle and Cambridge University Library 1995. Course at the Faculty of Architecture of Porto 1996. Opened office in Porto in 2001. In 2007 at Harvard University, Building New Ventures program, buildings with endogenous materials and integration of energy and water circulation. His work concerned with the processes of sensorial narrative, has garnered national and international attention, and he has been invited to exhibit, teach and lecture from the Venice Biennale to Tokyo, London, Istanbul and many other locations. House on the Flight of Birds, in the Azores, was a special focus of the press in interviews from the New York Times, to specialist magazines around the world and the Chapel of Eternal Light in 2019, nominated for the European Mies prize and sacred architecture prize of the Foundation Frater Sole in Pavia, Italy. In 2020 he curated the exhibition Úterus Azorica – How to Build an Island at the Centro de Artes Contemporâneas Arquipélago on materials from the Azores in conjunction with LREC.
