| Introduction | In the Book of Mormon, 1 Nephi Chapter 1 verse 1 it reads: "I, Nephi, having been born of goodly parents, therefore I was taught somewhat in all the learning of my father, and having seen many afflictions in the course of my days, nevertheless, having been highly favored of the Lord in all my days; yea, having had a great knowledge of the goodness and the mysteries of God, therefore I make a record of my proceedings in my days." This scripture speaks to my heart. I too have been born of goodly parents who love the Lord and I have been taught in all the learning of my father. I too have seen many afflictions in the course of my days, nevertheless I have been highly favored of the Lord in all of my days in that He has allowed me to continue to live and be blessed by his almighty hand. He truly has revealed to me knowledge of His goodness and His mysteries, therefore I too make a record of my proceedings in my days like Nephi. I am far, far, far from perfect but through the grace of Jesus Christ I have been blessed to be able to testify of Him through Him. I am weak but in Christ I am made strong. |
