| Introduction | The title Minor Celebrity comes from years of telling my kids that I am a minor celebrity, due to my being in the publishing business and getting recognized once in awhile. Since 1974 my career has been in the specialty magazine business specializing in motorsports -- boats, personal watercraft, cars, motorcycles, ATVs and in short anything with an engine. I spent the first 11 years with Trailer Boats magazine, followed by a 10-year stint as a freelance writer/photographer, followed by a 5-year tenure at Petersen's Kit Car magazine. In 2002 I started my own magazine, Kit Car Builder and along with my wife of 37 years, Carolyn, have guided it to become the largest kit & specialty-car magazine in the world and now the only kit magazine in the U.S. |
