Introduction | I'm a 28 year old PHP programmer from Maine who likes reading (obviously). This blog is mainly for reviewing fantasy and science fiction books I read for fun. I also thought it was a good way to improve my writing skills now that I no longer do a lot of writing. I am not a professional reviewer by any means, but I am certainly open to requests for reviews. Due to the large number of books I already have that I want to read and my own personal book-buying addiction, I don't normally accept books for review unless they are on my rather long wish list or by an author/in a series I already enjoy. Sometimes if a book sounds like something I must read, I'll accept a review copy, though. Sending me a review copy does not guarantee a review, although if you contact me about a review copy and I say I'd like to receive one, the chances of the book getting reviewed here are pretty high. I don't tell someone to go ahead and send me a copy unless I really plan to review it. My favorite books tend to be character-driven stories. Interesting settings appeal to me as well. To contact me, send an email to fantasycafe AT novomancy.org |
