| Introduction | In my Belleville, Ontario studio I craft ceramic flowers from clay slabs. I make poppies, tulips, peonies, and roses in a variety of colours. Their metal stems can be planted directly in your garden. I also sculpt ceramic birds, frogs and turtles from stoneware clay. After they are glaze fired to 1220 degrees C.in my kilns they can stay outside in rain or sun. I enjoy hand-building and throwing bowls and mugs on the wheel using clay coloured with mason stains.
