| Introduction | Not everyone is courageous enough to pack their bags and leave; turn away from a desk job to be an avid traveller. Not every traveller wants to live a life on the go to travel and be amused. Some of us want to go back home, decorate the walls with memories, fridge magnets, picture collages. Some of us want to have a beautiful green space of their own to write their blog. To cook some simple authentic meals, watch a movie, drink a wine and plan the next travel. To us, life cannot be packed in a backpack and snuggled in a corner with things we are expected to give up and be home sick. Life is about outlining the unnecessary and doing the necessaries. We are those people - we have our regular jobs to pay our bills and then we have our time away to pay our thirst to travel. Not a hostel kind but not the 7-star studded kind of travellers. We travel not like tourists, we travel to understand the life, talk to locals, eat local food. In short, we travel for the things that Instagram cannot capture. We have, like the others, tried to pack up and leave, but with time we have learnt that not everyone is equipped to give up and be nomadic. |
