| Introduction | We are an awesome book club that meets on the first Monday of each month between 7 and 8:30pm. We will be meeting starting in March at the following address: Union Congregational Church 161 Buckingham Street Oakville, CT This group is open to friends and family of its current members. Anyone who wishes to join us is free to do so by invitation from one of us. If you join us we ask that you be an enthusiastic reader, be courteous to others by not talking over them, and that you come with your thinking cap on ready to share, laugh and speculate. The titles selected all fall under the category of modern literary fiction but we reserve the right to select non-fiction and have done so once or twice. The church asks for a small fee of $25.00 each time we are there. With an average of 8 people showing up at a time, that is $3/meeting. If the space proves to be convenient and enjoyable, we will remain there. If we find a space near by that provides more for less, we may decide to switch to a new location. Request that your email be put on file by the moderator to be appraised of any changes to time, day of week or location. |
