| Introduction | My name is Matt and I'm the author of these pages. I have worked as a Design Engineer or Electronics Engineer for many years in my day job. I enjoy building electronics projects as a hobbyist. Most of my projects currently focus on the fun side of things and tend not to be very practical. I received a Bachelor of Science degree from Kansas State University in Electrical Engineering in the late 1990's. The campus at Kansas State has about 20,000 students and the Engineering program there is great. While in college, some of the interesting things I was involved in were the Solar Car Team and mobile robotics. I currently live near the geographic center of the United States in a town called Chanute. The city has about 10,000 people and access to high speed Internet. (Which is very important!) I live in an apartment and tend to not want the responsibility of a house. Chanute is one of those rare places where it is easy to walk or ride a bicycle to work, to the library, etc. The photo above was taken before a Halloween party. I was dressed up as a grim reaper and I won the "scariest costume". |
