Introduction | I am a retired librarian who decided, at age 64, to walk the Camino Santiago in October 2013, starting at the popular Spanish town of Sarria, and continuing on to Santiago de Compostela. I enjoyed it so much I then walked a portion of the Via Podiensis in the Massif Central from Le Puy-en-Velay to Conques in the Fall of 2014, then walked from Conques to Moissac in 2015, continuing on from Moissac to Aire-sur-l'Adour in 2016 and from there to Saint Jean-Pied-de-Port in 2017. I started the Voie d'Arles in 2018 and walked as far as Toulouse by 2019. In addition to walking, I also volunteer a couple of months a year for SIL in West Africa. |
