| Introduction | If I could truly wish upon a star, I would not choose anything different in my life other than being a widow. I am a fortunate mother of 8 children and 15 grandchildren. I love life with all its wonderful turns and twists. Who would ever have imagined that here I would sit with such a life as I have. I have traveled parts of the world as an Air Force 'brat', given birth to so many wonderful children, run a charter school and help obtain a new building to house it's great children, be appointed by our governor to serve as a Public Charter School Commissioner, serve on our local school board, be the manager of United Way's Success By 6 initiative and be a member of a wonderful church. All in one lifetime! I have been a public speaker to help those woman who have experienced abuse in their lives and guide them to hope. I have found that education is key to living a life only dreamed about. I have 'lost' myself in books, only to find myself. They have been and will continue to be an oasis in my world. As I turn the pages of the books I have traveled in, I discover dreams that have been written with the simplicity of an author's pen to awaken in my soul. |

Hopping from pad to pad exploring the beauty of the lake I live in. I would visit all the tadpoles and play with the dragonflies.
