| Introduction | I was born in Japan. I was 12 years old and moved to the Gold Coast, Australia after graduating from elementary school. At the age of 13, I was struggling in the local school with no English skills and crying on my pillow everyday. I was 18 years old and miraculously graduated from high school with good grades. I went on to study veterinary medicine at the University of Adelaide, I was 24 years old, and miraculously graduated from veterinary medicine with no retention. I am now a clinical veterinarian working with cats and dogs in Cairns. My days are filled with dogs, cats, 3 snakes and 20 fish tanks. |
