Introduction The resume part: I am an artist, poet, activist living in the Greater Seattle area, after 20 years in Utah. I have been published in 4 collections, and have 3 chapbooks published by Foolscap Press. I read with the Everett and Duvall poetry communities, and have been featured there as well as at the Utah State Arts Festival. I have collaborated with painters in the '9 Muses' and 'Poetry on Canvas' gallery projects, and had 1 poem set to music. I also write op-eds, and have been published in the Salt Lake Tribune, Deseret News, Commondreams and Op-Ed News. The personal part: I have 2 amazing, talented children, now young adults. I grew up in Baw-ston. I don't feel at home in a place until I know its smells and plants. I love the smell of rain. Politically, I'd describe myself as a radical progressive. I'm a Wobbly (Industrial Workers of the World), and a beyond-nuclear activist. I live for moments when you can show someone something unexpected that plants seeds of change in them. I use poetry, puppets, street theatre, costumes, and age-defying magic to effect change. I believe in direct action and the coming revolution and welcome it with open arms.
