| Introduction | I arrived in Belize 14 years ago after having travelled all over the world for many years as Expedition leader and Documentary film Director. Belize amazed me with its friendly people, clear blue Caribbean Sea, lush rainforests and many great animals. In all my travels earlier I saw battered, impoverished and homeless dogs that needed a loving hand but I always have to travel again without being able to stay and help. But now I could, since Belize became my home. The need was great, many dogs needed help, so I started to do my to give these dogs a better and dignified life. It resulted in that I founded the One Heart Animal Shelter. |
