About me

Gender Female
Introduction During August 2011 I concluded an MSSc in Interdisciplinary Child Studies, Linköping University, Sweden. My curiosity to understand the whole human being was evoked after I completed an MA in Adult Learning and Global Change in 2007. My academic interests lie with third culture kids (TCK’s) and understanding the differences between bi- and multicultural persons versus TCK’s. In multicultural societies people celebrate their many differences, yet TCK’s adapt and blend with so many different cultures that they are defined not by their differences, but their similarities. I am interested in how TCK’s use media and technology as valuable resources and furthermore how the application of media impact on their identity formation. What is the impact of technology and global change not only on TCK’s but also those who research TCK’s? Separation still exists amongst researchers in this field, a separation I would like to help bridge in the future by connecting the dots. This interest parallels and complements my interest and knowledge of establishing new global communities as well as evolving and sustaining established communities.
