Independent Fibre artists and designers Loretta Faveri and Sarah Lavoie and Jewellery artists/designers Colin Hutzan and Robert K. Chen realize their unique views of art and share in the creation of dramatic craft. Studio LaScarfa marries the ambiance and intimacy of traditional made to measure salons with the ubiquitous immediacy of the internet and mobile communications. However the initial iteration of the Studio will take on the guise of a Trunk Show where signature pieces are available for sale. The temporality of portable strategy allows for both low cost renovation of “gallery” aesthetics as well as the ability to set up as an on-demand retail service. |
