Introduction | Back in the olden days when there were more girl groupies than girl guitarists, I started taking lessons from a high school classmate who charged $5.00 and a case of strawberry wine coolers for her troubles. Many lessons and wine coolers later, I still couldn't figure out the intro to Van Halen's "Eruption," but armed with three chords and some rants scrawled on a Dunkin Donuts napkin, I was ready to embark on a rock n'roll journey. I started the group Eyelash in 2000 and Diabolique in 2005. Our style invokes the New York City of old: subway graffiti, The Velvet Underground, dark sunglasses, East Side tenements, Patti Smith and post-punk-glam-new-wave-crooning-screaming-three chords and the truth. You can catch Diabolique playing shows around New York City and I'm also in the studio putting the finishing touches on a new EP, which will be completed by Fall 2010, God willing. |
