| Introduction | I am in the best time of life: old enough to know better, but not too old to still have fun. God has blessed me with the gift of being a mom of three wonderful and challenging boys, and the wife to a faithful and devoted husband that loves me sacrificially.My guys are just old enough now that I am able to 'rediscover' myself apart from full-time mothering (That's actually a myth, isn't it? Mothering is, and always should be, full-time, but you know what I mean.) I've moved into a season of life where I'm working outside the home in a job I only dreamed about when the kids were babies, and at 45 I feel like I've grown into my skin. I find I can now enjoy the gifts that I've acquired over the years through difficulties, pain and sorrow; the gifts of wisdom, grace, mercy, kindness, gentleness. |
