IntroductionThe Center for Developmental Play and Learning (CDPL) was created in March 2007 by Co-founders Patricia Marquart, MFT and Jeanne White, MFT with the intention of providing Developmental, Individual- difference, Relationship-based DIR® services for families who seek a comprehensive intervention program for their child. While the perspective is comprehensive, the intervention program is specific to the child. CDPL appreciates the individual nature of each child’s profile, capacities and interests, and tailors the components of the intervention program accordingly. The DIR/Floortime model is derived from over 50 years of study and research about child development from the fields of psychology, medicine, and education, and includes the areas of language, attention, mental health, attachment, infant development, sensory processing, and motor development.
