| Introduction | Hi I’m Jaya, I’m a thrift store junkie and upcycling addict. I have an etsy shop called, GreenTrunkDesigns where I sell unique hats handmade from vintage, and up-cycled materials. My shop got its name from an old green army trunk that I ues to store some of my sewing supplies. Originally this trunk was my dad’s, issued to him when he was in the military. As a kid this green trunk was my toy box, and now that I’m older…well it is still my toy box. In my green trunk I now keep a stash of my favorite things: vintage linens, doilies, sheets, curtains, and lots of buttons. I love to upcycled these treasures into fun and usable things like bags, and clothing. I find great joy in giving these old and unwanted materials a new life and purpose; however, I’m running out of space so I need you to give them a new home!!! =) |
