| Introduction | Before a train journey from London to Cornwall I was perusing the shelves of W H Smith's and stumbled upon the AA Pub Guide 2009. I bought the guide and flicked through it on the train. The book covers pubs throughout Great Britain and the pubs I recognised were all pretty good. It was not long before I decided that visiting them all would be a great way to see more of the country. Rules: 1) I have to have a picture outside each pub, and 2) I have an alcoholic beverage (with a preference to local ales) at each pub. 3) If the pub is shut down or closed I will have a can or bottle outside it. 4) I rate the pub out of 10. |
