| Introduction | I live in the upper Midwest where the summers are cold and the winters are even colder. Whatever the weather, one of the best things we can do is to read the Bible. It's amazing how much we can learn from merely spending time reading the Scriptures! We might not understand everything; in fact we won't! However, one Scripture often helps to interpret another Scripture. Therefore, as we immerse ourselves in the Scriptures, we begin to see relationships between texts. We also become more attuned to the way in which the Biblical writers communicate and more aware of the way words are used in various passages. We become acquainted with the overall structure of the Bible and the unfolding of God's grand plan. This understanding helps us to know the Lord and what He requires of us. As a result, we can learn how to have a relationship with Him and live our days in the joy of the Lord.
