Introduction I am an attorney with approximately 12 years experience in the technology law industry, including four years in the Caribbean. I currently serve as Director of IP Policy at Microsoft and previously worked as Public Policy Counsel at Research In Motion. I also worked as General Counsel and Head of Licensing & Compliance of the ICTA (the telecommunications regulator in the Cayman Islands) from 2007 to 2010 and as Director & Counsel in the Regulatory Department of Rogers Communications Inc. (Canada’s largest cable and mobile telecommunications provider) from 2003 to 2007. Before joining Rogers, I worked as an attorney specializing in regulatory matters at Baker & McKenzie (Toronto office) and Fraser Milner Casgrain (Ottawa office). I am admitted to the Ontario Bar and I am a graduate of the law and M.B.A. programs at the University of Ottawa. Please note that the views expressed on this blog are mine, and mine alone.
