IntroductionArtist Bio-- Karla Hayden is a folk artist and school teacher enjoying life amongst the lakes and cornfields of northern Indiana (all the while daydreaming about relaxing seaside with a paintbrush, beautiful sunset, and cold beverage at hand.) Her primitive/whimsical paintings are about finding joy in the simple things. Children (of all ages) delight in the color and fun of her pieces. Karla’s work will remind you life is about smiling. Karla’s inspiration comes from the world around her, other art/artists, and her life experiences. She has especially fond memories of spending Indiana summers painting beside her grandma on Sandusky Farm. “I enjoy creating and painting has become one my focused passions. My art comes from my heart, and I try to put a bit of humor, fun, and happiness in all my work.” Karla’s work is collected coast to coast by special people who have encouraged her talent, supported her passion, and pushed her to do more. She’s thankful for all of them. They’ve helped make her dream of being an artist come true.
