| Introduction | I was born in Boulder, CO, and lived in the northern Denver suburbs until I was nearly 16. It was around that time that "High Altitude Sickness" was discovered to be one of the health problems my mother was suffering from, and the Mile High City is not a great place to live with that condition. We moved to Napa, CA, in 1992 and I have lived in Napa County ever since. That is, minus my senior year of highschool when I went back to CO so I could graduate with my old class. Very shortly after graduation, I was in a wedding and met my future husband, Michael. We were married 10 months later, and have been married for nearly 18 years. We have four children, the oldest is 16, the youngest is 6. About 6 years ago, I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, as had been my mother and oldest sister. It has been a challenge to deal with, but I have a wonderful husband and fabulous children who are more understanding and helpful than I could have hoped for. Besides the spiritual comfort of my Catholic faith, familial comfort of my spouse, children, parents and siblings, I enjoy the comforts of chocolate, tea, and naps to help get me through the day. |
