| Introduction | I am Vince Wright, the founder of Fin City Brewing Company. Inspired mostly by my father who was a chef for over 40 years, my grandfather and great grandfather who were home brewers and also Sam Calagione of Dogfish Head Craft Brewery and doing a ton of research, I started brewing in my kitchen and then eventually moved to the garage in the winter of 2008. In November of 2010 we (Team Fin City...my wife and I) entered our Fin City Pumpkin Ale brewed with fresh roasted pumpkins and spices in the 25th Anniversary World Championship Punkin Chunkin cooking contest in Bridgeville, DE and won! It just so happened that the Discovery Channel was at the Punkin Chunkin taping an episode of Brew Masters. They were kind enough to have us in the episode pouring a fresh one and zooming in on our label! Since then we have had a mission to get the Fin City Brewing Company off the ground running and with a lot of hard work and dedication from my wife Michele, my daughters Amanda & Kristen, Patrick, Ryan and Mike “G” at Hooper’s Crab House, and the generosity of Mr. & Mrs. Sheppard the Fin City Brewing Company will soon be a reality. |
