Introduction	I am a mom, an educator, and a writer/co-editor of the anthology My Baby Rides the Short Bus: The Unabashedly Human Experience of Raising Kids with Disabilities, PM Press (2009). This blog will attempt to compile and focus my daily practice in my first year of teaching and beyond, as I work with students who are served in Special Education (secondary). I may review educational literature, reflect on lessons and planning, or share training insights. I intend to discover effective instructional strategies and cultivate best teaching practices for teachers who, like me, find themselves working with non-typical students.
