Introduction	I'm a pastor in Oklahoma and the dad/step dad in a blended family of four kids. I'm an all-weather Razorback fan and love turtle cheesecake. I'm a pacifist with a 12 gauge in my closet. If you get the title of the blog--it is indeed an homage to a book that has influenced me--Leaves from the Notebook of a Tamed Cynic, by Reinhold Niebuhr. While he was a natural cynic who was tamed through the ministry, I suppose I'm a natural optimist who has also been tamed.
