Occupation Teacher
Location Portland, OR, United States
Introduction This is my third year teaching Spanish at Grant High School and I am super excited about beginning another year at a job that I love. I am teaching 3rd Year (5-6) and the 5th Year Dual-Credit (9-10: high school and PCC college credit) classes. Other teaching experiences have included Portland State University, Mount Tabor Middle School, Open Meadow High School, Hosford Middle School, Centennial High School and Branford Middle School. Prior to obtaining my teaching license, I taught in many nontraditional settings. For example, I worked for the non-profit organization Synergia taking students on 10 day canoe trips in the U.S. and road trips to Baja, Mexico. With AAVE, a summer program, I led outdoor adventure culture trips for teenagers in Peru. I graduated from two Masters programs at Portland State University: MEd (Masters in Education) and an MA in Spanish. For my undergraduate degree, I studied at Ripon College in Wisconsin and received a BA in Music.
