About me

Introduction	As long as she can remember, Kathryn has been creating art. Her first design work was at the age of ten for her scientist father. For years, father and daughter collaborated on materials on health care. Kathryn is now a classically trained designer with a BFA from Parsons School of Design. After working for years in publishing and communications, primarily in health care, she currently is web manager at Lehigh Valley Hospital (LVH) in Allentown, PA. Kathryn and her father have just published a book of children’s poetry. Haicooo: Little Poems for Children is a bunch of silly haiku with cute drawings of animals. “This is a great way to introduce children to the joy of art and poetry.” All profits from the book will go to the NICU at LVH where her now 2-year old daughter was born. “The NICU team was in my room in seconds,” Kathryn says. “Thankfully, Nicole started breathing on her own. But I’ll never forget the actions of the NICU team.” A life-time animal lover, Kathryn serves on the board of directors of MaPaw Siberian Husky Rescue, as well as fawning over her own pets. Her love and understanding of nature is apparent in the expressions she is able to capture in her art.
