| Introduction | My name is Alice Addison and I’m a screenwriter. What I do for a living takes a really long time. The projects I’m working on/have worked on take months, often years to complete. Inevitably I’m in the middle of a draft or between drafts of several things at once. I cook because I can create something (and feel satisfied with the result) in a fraction of the time it takes for me to achieve something similar professionally. I love making food for friends, for my family, and for myself. Though I’m often mistaken for a vegetarian, I eat everything. And often go back for seconds. My favourite piece of kitchen equipment is my Kitchen Aid mixer (in orange), and my guiltiest pleasure is the $1 hot dog at IKEA. |
