Introduction I decided I should have a go at this blogging thing when I answered a post by a bloke called Gareth Williams. Inspired by the likes of Luke Akehurst, Grimmerupnorth and Owen Jones I have tried to set out as good a blog as theirs, though probably falling a little short. Born and raised in Aberdeen, I am 28 years old and moved to Liverpool in 2001 to study for my Masters in Parasitology. I now work at the University of Liverpool as a Teaching Technician in the School of Biological Sciences. I am a member of the Labour Party and also a member of Unite-Amicus. I joined the Labour Party to help John McDonnell win the leadership contest. Sadly he did not recieve the support of the required number of MPs. I stayed on because I believe in the Labour Party, but I also feel we have lost our way. New Labour's neo-con agenda has prompted many good labour people from the left and right of the party to leave. It might be over the party's new economic vision (a rehash of Mrs T) or it could be the War in Iraq and our cosying up to the Republicans in the US. Whatever the reason I ask ALL individuals who have abandoned Labour, be they left or right to come back and help claim this party back.
