Introduction	In this twenty-sixth year of my career as an educator, it is a unique opportunity and challenge to serve as the Director of the Upper School at Detroit Country Day, and also as the Chief Academic Officer of the entire pk-12 school. Located in Beverly Hills, MI, Country Day is one of the nation's premier independent schools, with amazing students, and dedicated, knowledgeable faculty and staff. Prior to coming to Country Day, I served as the Principal of Grosse Pointe North High School, one of the nation's top high schools as recognized by Newsweek magazine, Top Schools rankings, and other sources. Before my time at North, I served as the principal at South Lake High School in St. Clair Shores, the assistant principal and athletic director at Grosse Pointe South and Swartz Creek High Schools, and spent ten years as a teacher of English at Atherton High School in Burton, MI. I reside in Grosse Pointe, MI with my wife, and our wonderful children.
