Introduction	I’ve always loved books. When I was younger I loved to read, read, and read for the pure enjoyment of reading. While I still love to read for unconscious delight, my reading focus has changed. Now when I read, I look for ways to make connections from the book to content areas. My favorite way to connect books to other subject areas (reading, mathematics, science, social studies, music and art) is through writing.
Interests	Reading, writing, teaching, traveling, grandchildren, college basketball,and castles.
Favorite books	Gone With the Wind, Pride and Prejudice, The Help, The Outsiders, The Hunger Games trilogy, Shiver.
